Inland Power Yacht Skipper: The International Alternative
The Inland Power Yacht Skipper is ISSA’s entry-level motorboat course. While the Spanish Licencia de Navegación covers vessels up to 6 m in protected waters only in Spain, this licence enables you to: skipper motor vessels up to 15 metres, navigate up to 3 nautical miles offshore, and use the licence in 120+ countries — including Greece, Croatia, Turkey, the Caribbean and beyond.
Boat Master: Complete Command of Your Vessel
The Boat Master certification accredits advanced technical handling of motor vessels, including port manoeuvres, anchoring, towing and emergency management. Ideal for experienced sailors who want to certify their skills with an internationally recognised qualification.
Inshore Power Yacht Skipper: Coastal Navigation
The Inshore Power Yacht Skipper expands on the Inland qualification, covering coastal chart navigation, GPS use, weather interpretation and emergency management at sea. Perfect for exploring the coast with full confidence and independence.
Offshore Power Yacht Skipper: No Limits
The Offshore Power Yacht Skipper is the highest ISSA level for motorboats, covering offshore voyages, long passages and large vessel command in open-sea conditions. With this licence you can legally sail almost anywhere in the world.
