Sea and mountains in one trip: boat and motorbike
The Costa Tropical is best enjoyed in parts: one day sailing between the coves of Cerro Gordo and the cliffs of Maro, and another riding up to the Alpujarra, Sierra Nevada or the white villages of the Axarquía. From Marina del Este you can do both without changing your meeting point. Ask us about combining a boat and a motorbike during your stay.

BMW F800 GS
The bike we recommend most to anyone who really wants to get to know inland Granada and Málaga. It is a tall, comfortable mid-size adventure bike with an 895 cc twin that pulls smoothly from low revs: just as easy to ride along the seafront in La Herradura as it is to string together the bends up to the Alpujarra or on the Carretera de la Cabra.
This bike comes with a TFT display, BMW connectivity, riding modes, cruise control, Dynamic ESA suspension, heated grips and crash protection. The rental includes fully comprehensive insurance (€1,000 excess), a helmet with intercom, jacket, gloves, a CarPlay screen and a top case, so all you have to think about is the route.

Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special
Harley-Davidson's adventure bike, designed for long trips with luggage. Its 1,252 cc Revolution Max engine has power to spare for riding two-up, and the adaptive electronic suspension, Brembo brakes and riding modes make it very safe both on the motorway and on mountain roads.
It is the ideal choice for a trip of several days around Andalusia: Sierra Nevada, the Alpujarra, Granada or the coast towards Almería. It includes CarPlay, a top case, a helmet with intercom, jacket and gloves; fully comprehensive insurance is optional from €25/day.

BMW R nineT Urban G/S
A bike to be enjoyed at an unhurried pace. The R nineT Urban G/S brings back the look of the 1980s BMW G/S with the 1,170 cc air and oil-cooled boxer engine, which has an unmistakable sound and pull.
It is perfect for the coast road between La Herradura, Almuñécar and Nerja, for a getaway to Granada or for riding up to the villages of the Axarquía and stopping for lunch without watching the clock. It includes a helmet with intercom, jacket and gloves; fully comprehensive insurance is optional from €25/day.

Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Special 1996
A one-off in the fleet: a 1996 Heritage Softail Special (FLSTN) with the legendary 1,340 cc Evolution engine, the V-twin that restored Harley-Davidson's reliability, and the Softail frame, which hides the rear suspension to show off the lines of 1950s Harleys.
This bike was customised by Ferry Clot, a Spanish builder who won the Modified Harley-Davidson class at the Sturgis (USA) world custom bike championship in 2007 and 2009. It can be rented from 1 day and includes a helmet, jacket and gloves; fully comprehensive insurance is quoted on request. This bike is not delivered: it is collected in Marina del Este or in Granada.

KTM 390 Adventure R
The adventure bike for A2 licence holders who don't want to give up on adventure. With 45 hp, just 176 kg with a full tank, long-travel WP suspension and 21 and 18-inch wheels, it is as much at home on twisty roads as on dirt tracks.
Our bike has a lowered seat at 840 mm and a two-way quickshifter, so it is also easy to handle for shorter riders. It includes a helmet with intercom, jacket and gloves; fully comprehensive insurance is optional from €25/day.

Scooters for getting around the coast
Yamaha Ray-ZR 125 scooter
The most practical scooter for getting around the coast: light, easy to park and with a fuel-efficient 125 cc engine. Ideal for heading down to the beach, doing the shopping in Almuñécar or going out for dinner in Nerja without hunting for a parking space.
It can be ridden on a car licence held for more than 3 years (Spanish and EU licences). Rider's helmet included; passenger helmet, jacket and gloves for €5/day each. Fully comprehensive insurance optional from €10/day.

NIU MQi GT electric scooter
Quiet, no petrol and unlimited kilometres. Its 4 kW electric motor responds instantly, the 14-inch wheels give it stability and it has a range of up to 80 km, more than enough to ride around the bay and the nearby villages.
It comes with its charger and charges from any socket in about 4 hours. It can be ridden on a car licence held for more than 3 years (Spanish and EU licences). Fully comprehensive insurance optional from €10/day.

Motorbike delivery to your door
We bring the bike to the door of your home or accommodation anywhere on the Costa Tropical. The price is per trip: delivery and collection are two trips (for example, in Nerja: 2 × €20 = €40). If you prefer, you can collect the bike free of charge from our base in Marina del Este.

The Harley-Davidson Heritage is not delivered: it is collected in Marina del Este or in Granada. From November to May part of the fleet is based in Granada.

How it works
- Pick-up and return at our office in Marina del Este (La Herradura), or at your accommodation with home delivery. Please arrive 30 minutes early to sign the contract and check the bike.
- Documents: ID card or passport, valid driving licence and a card for the deposit.
- Fuel: bikes are handed over with a full tank and must be returned the same way.
- Bookings: online at tropicalriders.es or by phone and WhatsApp on +34 951 87 87 07. 50 % is paid when booking; free cancellation 15 days or more in advance.
